- - - Veridian Credit Union has partnered with the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa (CFNEIA) and established the Veridian Credit Union Fund to provide $70,000 in grant funding in 2010. Eligible agencies that are implementing Inclusive or Financial Education programs are encouraged to apply.

The Inclusive Community Grant targets programs that integrate persons with disabilities, persons of modest means or low income, or Latino immigrants into the community. Inclusive programs raise the targeted populations out of their traditionally segregated role, providing them opportunities to participate in activities alongside members of the broader community. Inclusion occurs when meaningful, two-way relationships with peers are formed and have the opportunity to develop. There is $40,000 available through the Inclusive Community Grant. |
The Financial Education Grant targets programs that improve the financial knowledge of adults and/or children. There is $30,000 in funding available through this grant.
There is a single application form for both grants and it must be postmarked by October 1, 2010 to be eligible for consideration. Applicants will be notified of grant decisions in December 2010.
