College is a wonderful but stressful time in your life. What school should you choose? Will you live in the
dorms? How will you pay for tuition? Although Veridian can't write your term paper, we can help you figure
out how to pay for college.
Veridian has partnered with Iowa Student Loan to offer a Private Student Loan program designed to help
you cover the difference between your federal and state financial aid and the total cost of your
tuition, room and board, and other expenses. When you apply for a Veridian Private Student Loan, you can be
approved for a loan up to $10,000 per academic year, with a $40,000 total maximum.
Veridian's Private Student Loan program offers loans for students with or without prior credit history.
Students with co-signers may be eligible for lower interest rates and better terms.
Before applying for your Veridian Private Student Loan, it is important to consider and apply for available
federal and state aid including grants, scholarships and federal student loans. Accepting a private loan before
utilizing other types of aid available may decrease your eligibility for federal and state aid. Contact the
financial aid office at your college to find out what types of financial aid are available to you.
Veridian members can apply
online for a private student loan. If you are not a member of Veridian, you will need
to become a member to qualify for the loan program. Veridian Credit Union will handle
the processing of your membership application. Iowa Student Loan will handle the processing and approval of
your Veridian Private Loan application. For more information, contact Iowa Student Loan at 800-542-6005, or
