Save a trip to the branch and deposit checks on your schedule with Veridian’s mobile app. It’s easy to use your smartphone to upload an image of an endorsed check whenever, wherever:
- Tap Deposit Check.
- Have all recipients sign the back of the check.
- Write "For VCU Mobile Deposit Only" underneath.
- Follow the prompts to take pictures of your check and upload it for deposit.
Checks missing signatures or "For VCU Mobile Deposit Only" may not be processed, so please be sure to follow these steps. Also, please note second-party checks that have been signed over to you can't be accepted through remote deposit.
We process checks deposited this way multiple times a day so you get access to your money faster. In general on a business day, deposits made by 5 p.m. will be available by 8 p.m. Get the full schedule below, and review the Funds Availability1 and Funds Holds2 section of Veridian's Remote Deposit Capture Agreement.

*Please note that deposits made after 5 p.m. Friday are considered weekend deposits and will be available by noon Saturday. Deposits made after 9 a.m. Sunday and before 2 a.m. Monday will be available by 11 a.m. Monday.
Troubleshooting
Having issues getting your check uploaded? Try these tips.
- Take the picture in a well-lit area.
- Make sure there are no shadows on the check.
- Try to take the picture against a dark background.
- Ensure the full check (including the MICR line) appears within the screen.
- Take the picture with a still, focused camera.
- Take the picture straight on rather than at an angle.

1 Member agrees that the Mobile Check Deposit service is not subject to Veridian's standard funds availability schedule and may not be subject to Federal Reserve Board Regulation CC. If a Qualifying Item is received via Mobile Check Deposit on a Business Day prior to 2:00 p.m. Central Time (CT), the item will post by 8:00 p.m. CT of that Business Day. Qualifying items received after the 2:00 p.m. CT deadline on a Business Day will post by 8:00 p.m. CT of the next Business Day. Items received on a non-Business Day will post by 8:00 p.m. CT of the next Business Day. Funds availability is subject to any holds as outlined below and Veridian reserves the right to modify the posting times outlined above without notice.
2 Veridian reserves the right to place holds on funds deposited through the use of this service for any legal reason. The lengths of such holds will be determined by Veridian at its sole discretion.
