Ankeny Main Branch Update

Work will begin soon to relocate operations from our Ankeny Main branch at 1201 S. Ankeny Blvd. to a newly constructed branch on the same property. While the current Ankeny Main branch has served our members well, a thorough evaluation has revealed that maintaining it for future use would require significant, costly repairs. Constructing a new branch on the property has proven to be the most cost-effective option to allow us to continue serving members from this location well into the future.

The new branch, to be named Magazine, will be built closer to the intersection of South Ankeny Blvd. and Magazine Rd., and Ankeny Main will remain open for service throughout construction. Once operations have transitioned to Magazine, Ankeny Main will be scheduled for demolition, as it will no longer be economical to maintain. Magazine will offer all the same services that are currently available at Ankeny Main.

The transition is expected to take place over twelve months, though a timeframe for the move has not yet been determined.
