Summary

The Marketing Specialist position plays a critical role in supporting the internal marketing and communication needs of Veridian. This versatile position requires a combination of writing, design, and project management skills to develop and execute engaging content and materials for various digital and traditional communications.

Essential Functions

  • Create excellent service experiences consistent with the Veridian brand.
  • Work closely with the Team Leader - Product Marketing and other marketing team members to align strategy, priorities, and creative direction of marketing efforts.
  • Draft compelling content for various internal communications, including newsletters, intranet updates, HR training materials, event announcements, and internal memos.
  • Assist with the creation of external-facing marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, social media posts, and email campaigns. Ensure alignment with Veridian's brand voice and messaging.
  • Edit and proofread content to maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to design visually appealing marketing and communication materials using design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite) for both digital and print formats to enhance engagement and drive member interest.
  • Ensure all visual content and marketing materials adhere to and align with brand guidelines and supports the overall marketing strategy.
  • Provide support for internal events, including event planning, coordination, promotional materials, and on-site logistics.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of all marketing materials and campaigns.
  • Coordinate with various internal departments to understand their marketing needs.
  • Maintain and update marketing materials housed in the credit union's intranet and other internal communication platforms to ensure employees have access to current and relevant information.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, coordinating meetings, managing marketing inventory, and processing invoices.

Working Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.

Travel

Limited travel expected.

Required Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field.
  • 3+ years experience in marketing, communications, or related field with specific experience with digital marketing tools and strategies as well as experience in content writing and editing for various media.
  • 3+ years experience utilizing graphic design tools demonstrating a strong understanding of design principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Management Software.

Preferred Education And Experience

  • Experience with social media platforms and digital marketing tools in a professional environment.
  • Experience with CMS systems (e.g. WordPress, Drupal) and/or HTML.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools or platforms for email campaigns and audience segmentation (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Experience with long and short-form content writing for digital marketing channels.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities.
