VI - Insurance Retention Agent
Summary
The VI Insurance Retention Agent works closely with the Retention Team and is proficient in Personal/Commercial or both lines of insurance. The position assists with service/retention of new and existing members and able to sell new policies when needed.
Essential Functions
- Creates excellent service experiences that promote the Veridian brand.
- Develop proficiencies in the agency management system.
- Maintain licensure, in order to provide assistance to Personal and/orCommercial members.
- Manage and maintain existing customer accounts including quotes and renewals, answering questions, processing requested changes, and updating records in the agency management systems.
- Participate in meetings with members, serving as a point of contact for retention needs.
- Review customer, policy and claim information for accuracy, appropriateness, searching for additional coverage options and opportunities.
- Determine cross selling opportunities with members and referring said opportunities to appropriate Veridian personnel when needed.
- Represent Veridian in a positive light in all professional duties while developing, servicing members and selling new policies when possible.
- Contribute positively to team effort by consistently achieving established goals and expectations.

Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
Travel
Limited travel expected.
Required Education And Experience
- High School Diploma.
- Licensed insurance agent, or ability to earn license within 6 weeks or sooner.
- Fluent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Preferred Education And Experience
- 2+ years of experience in an independent insurance agency setting or financial institution.
- Experience utilizing AN agency management system.
- Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation or equivalent.
