Summary

Under general supervision and in compliance with established policies and procedures, the Consumer Loan Representative is responsible for processing titles, payoffs, and obtaining proper liens on collateral for consumer loans. Additionally, the position will follow up with members, borrowers, and dealers on outstanding titles.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure the proper security interest is recorded.
  • Prepare necessary title forms and obtain required signatures.
  • Obtain titles from members, borrowers, dealers and other financials with the credit union's lien for Consumer loans. Follow up on titles as necessary, including UCC financing statements and other documents.
  • Process electronic titles daily that come via VINtek.
  • Maintain loan files and research title questions, including assisting members and borrowers with title changes.
  • Process daily payoffs for consumer loans, including release of security.
  • Provide branch support credit union wide and support coworker duties as needed.
  • Handle phone calls from other financials, lawyers, dealers, our insurance verification provider, and insurance companies that have questions or requests.
  • Verify the information on incoming titles match security on Consumer loan documents. If information is incorrect on paperwork, contact the loan advisor to correct.
  • Verify security of new loan matches to what is being held in the title pouch, VINtek, and/or Nautilus.
  • Prepare any additional miscellaneous documents for imaging such turndown, deal fell through, personal, and secured loans.
  • Maintain and balance departmental GLs.
  • Prepare County Treasurer/Recorder bags for dispatch.
  • Follow up and certify lenders protection loans.
  • Handle daily departmental mail.

Working Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.

Travel

Limited travel expected.

Required Education And Experience

  • High school diploma.
  • 2+ years of experience in a financial institution or related field.
  • Fluent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
