What is a Visa debit card?
A Visa® debit card allows you to conveniently access the money in your checking account without writing a check. It works similar to a credit card, but the money comes directly from your account.
- Make purchases 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at any merchant or website displaying the Visa symbol. You can tap to pay, insert your chip or swipe your card as needed, depending on how the merchant is set up. You can also process your payments as credit or debit.
- Use an ATM to withdraw or deposit funds or check your account balances. Veridian's ATMs are free to use, and you can make up to 10 free withdrawals* a month at other ATMs within our network.
- Turn your card on and off to help prevent fraud using My Cards in online banking and our mobile app.
*The institution owning the ATM may assess a fee, and Veridian charges $1.50 per withdrawal after the 10 free monthly withdrawals from non-Veridian ATMs.
