When are Bill Payments made?

Electronic payments are deducted from your account on the specified "Send Date" and are expected to be posted by the payee within 2 business days. Paper-check payments are sent on the specified "Send Date" and are expected to arrive 5 business days later, but are not withdrawn until after the payee deposits them and they clear your account - like any other check. It is very important you maintain sufficient funds in your account to cover your bill payments that are made by a paper check to avoid the check from being returned for insufficient funds.

NOTE: If the Payment Send Date falls on Saturday, Sunday or a federal holiday, the payment will be sent on the business day prior to the weekend or holiday date.
