Veridian Credit Union is asking Des Moines-area nonprofit organizations to nominate their most inspiring volunteers to be named one of the credit union’s VIPs, or Volunteers Inspiring Progress. The campaign is in celebration of Veridian’s newest branch at the corner of Ingersoll and MLK, scheduled to open in early June.
“It’s important for us to celebrate the new branch in a way that’s true to who Veridian is and demonstrates our core values,” said Rusty Naber, branch manager. “We’re looking for people who use inclusion, innovation or financial literacy to strengthen our communities, because we share these values, and we understand the impact they can have on our future.”
Volunteers serving organizations in Polk or Dallas counties are eligible. One VIP will be selected in each of three categories: inclusion, innovation and financial literacy. Those selected will receive a gift from Veridian and recognition at a branch opening event this summer. The three VIPs’ nominating organizations will also receive a $1,000 donation. Details and the nomination form are available at www.veridiancu.org/vip. Nominations will be accepted through May 8.
