Card Breaches
One way we keep your money safe is by alerting you when your credit or debit card is compromised.

What happens when a compromise or a breach is discovered at a merchant or store?
- Visa is notified.
- A Compromised Account Management System (CAMS) report is generated. This gives us a list of Veridian card numbers that were included.
- We take action as soon as possible by canceling your compromised card and re-issuing a new card.
How do compromises happen?
- The merchant’s card processor experienced a breach – this can affect several different merchants at the same time.
- The merchant has an employee that is taking card numbers.
- The merchant’s card reader has been compromised.
- The merchant’s computer system was hacked.
What does this mean for you?
When a CAMS report is received, it is not because we, at Veridian, have done anything wrong. The breach or compromise took place outside of our financial at a separate merchant. Your money is safe at Veridian.
We want to do everything we can to protect your money and help you feel safe. We make protecting your account a top priority. Look for an email and letter alerting you of the possible compromise and letting you know your new card is on the way.
